Serving Kingman, KS

Ranch & Home Fence for Kingman

Kingman is ranch-and-farm country with a tidy small-town heart, and that's exactly the kind of place River Creek Fence is built to serve. As the Kingman County seat sitting on the Ninnescah River west-southwest of Wichita, the town pairs a historic downtown and a red-brick 1908 courthouse with miles of open grazing ground, cropland, and acreages stretching out toward Kingman State Fishing Lake and the Byron Walker Wildlife Area. We come down from our Haven shop to build the pasture, perimeter, privacy, and commercial fence that holds up out here.

Owner Cody Yoder grew up around farm ground and livestock, so a Kingman job speaks our language — cattle that lean on a corner brace, a horse pen that has to be safe, a backyard that needs a clean privacy line, or a business lot that needs to be secured. We treat every project like it's going up on a neighbor's place: posts set deep, corners braced heavy, gates that swing true, and a crew that cleans up before it leaves.

It's a straight run down from Haven, so getting a crew and materials to Kingman is no trouble at all. Whether you ranch a section of grass off the highway, keep a few head behind the house, or want a fence around a home or storefront in town, we'll walk the line with you and hand you a straight, free estimate. No pressure, no runaround — just a fair price on a fence that lasts.

Fencing Kingman's Pastures & Properties

Kingman grew up as a railroad and ranch town on the Ninnescah, named for Kansas Supreme Court chief justice Samuel A. Kingman, and agriculture still anchors the economy today. That shapes most of what we build here — barbed wire and woven wire perimeter for cattle, cross-fencing for rotational grazing, and corrals where stock crowds hardest, plus residential and commercial work in and around the historic downtown. With Kingman State Fishing Lake and the Byron Walker Wildlife Area drawing folks to the area, we also fence plenty of rural homes and acreages on the edges of town.

Central Kansas weather is the real test out here, and we build for it. Our crews set posts well below the frost line — corners, gates, and braces in concrete — so they don't heave when the clay-loam ground bakes hard and then soaks. We brace corners heavy to stand up to the open-prairie wind that whips across Kingman County, stretch wire tight so it stays that way, and hang gates square so they keep swinging right for years. Whatever the project, it gets built to handle the soil and the wind down here.

They installed my horse pasture fence and I could not be happier. They listened to my request, offered great advice to improve my design, and knocked down a number of small trees that were a fire threat to make a wonderful pasture. I would absolutely recommend them.

Cody did work on a neighbor's property and it looked great, so I had him come out to discuss replacing rusted-out panels of wrought iron. The quote was more than fair, so we scheduled the replacement. From start to finish it took less than 4 hours and it looks great. Yard and dog are now secure again. Highly recommend.

I am so impressed with River Creek Fence. Cody came out and did a quote — very friendly. He discussed what I wanted and asked questions. It took awhile to get scheduled but it was well worth it. The fence was replaced (cleanup included) in like 4 hrs! The new fence is gorgeous! Highly recommend!!! Photos don't do it justice.

Common Questions

Kingman Fence Questions

Yes — Kingman is well within our service area. We're based in Haven, about 30 miles northeast, and work Kingman and the surrounding Kingman County ranch and farm country regularly. Call Cody at (620) 899-5595 and we'll come out for a free, no-pressure estimate.

Out here it's a mix. On the ranch and farm ground around Kingman it's mostly barbed wire and woven wire perimeter, cross-fencing, and corrals for cattle. In and around town we build plenty of residential wood, vinyl, and privacy fence, plus chain link and commercial fence for homes and businesses near downtown.

Absolutely — it's a big part of what we do. With so much grazing ground around Kingman, we stretch tight barbed and woven wire perimeter, run cross-fence for rotational grazing, and build corrals and braces that take the pressure when cattle lean and crowd. We'll match the fence to your stock and your ground.

We set posts well below the Kansas frost line — corners, gates, and braces in concrete — so they don't heave when the clay-loam soil around Kingman bakes hard and then soaks after a rain. We also brace corners heavy to stand up to the open-prairie wind that comes across Kingman County.

It depends on the type and footage — barbed wire and woven wire run a few dollars a foot, while wood, vinyl, and ornamental cost more. Our free Fence Cost Guide breaks down real Central Kansas ranges, and we'll give you a firm, free quote on your exact Kingman project.
