Serving Newton, KS

Newton's Full-Service Fence Builder

Newton sits where the old cattle trail met the rail line, and that mix of grit and growth still shows today. As the Harvey County seat and a longtime Santa Fe Railway division point, it's a working town with a downtown core, established neighborhoods, light industry, and farm ground spread out along its edges — and every one of those settings needs a different kind of fence. River Creek Fence covers Newton from our home base in Haven, building privacy fence behind homes, chain link and security fence for businesses, and wire and pasture fence for the places out on the county roads.

Owner Cody Yoder grew up around farm ground and livestock, so he reads a Newton job the way the property does: a tidy wood or vinyl privacy fence for a family in town, a fenced yard for a dog, a chain link or ornamental perimeter for a shop or warehouse, or a stretch of woven wire and barbed wire for a place on the outskirts. We build each one set right, braced right, and squared to the line.

Newton is a straight shot east of our Haven shop, so getting a crew and materials over is easy. We'll come out, walk your property, talk through your options, and leave you with a clear, free estimate — no pressure and no surprises, just a fair price on a fence built to last in Kansas weather.

Yard, Business & Farm Fence Around Newton

Newton's character runs from the historic Santa Fe depot and the Chisholm Trail railhead downtown to the strong Mennonite roots that shaped the county — Bethel College in adjacent North Newton, founded in 1887, is the oldest Mennonite college in the country, and the Kauffman Museum on its campus keeps that heritage alive. Around all of that you've got everyday Newton: homes off Main and Broadway, businesses near US-50 and I-135, and wheat and grazing ground on the city's edges. We build for the whole spread, from a backyard privacy fence to a fenced commercial lot to perimeter wire on a farm.

Whatever the project, our crews build for Kansas conditions. We set posts well below the frost line, anchor corners, gates, and braces in concrete, and brace heavy against the open wind that crosses Harvey County. The clay and loam soil here bakes hard in summer and swells when it's wet, so posts set shallow heave and lean — we set ours deep so your fence stands straight and plumb for years, whether it's wood, vinyl, chain link, ornamental steel, or wire.

They installed my horse pasture fence and I could not be happier. They listened to my request, offered great advice to improve my design, and knocked down a number of small trees that were a fire threat to make a wonderful pasture. I would absolutely recommend them.

Cody did work on a neighbor's property and it looked great, so I had him come out to discuss replacing rusted-out panels of wrought iron. The quote was more than fair, so we scheduled the replacement. From start to finish it took less than 4 hours and it looks great. Yard and dog are now secure again. Highly recommend.

I am so impressed with River Creek Fence. Cody came out and did a quote — very friendly. He discussed what I wanted and asked questions. It took awhile to get scheduled but it was well worth it. The fence was replaced (cleanup included) in like 4 hrs! The new fence is gorgeous! Highly recommend!!! Photos don't do it justice.

Newton Fencing, Answered

Yes — Newton is a regular part of our service area. We're based in Haven, about 28 miles west, and work Newton and the rest of Harvey County all the time. Call Cody at (620) 899-5595 and we'll come out for a free, no-pressure estimate.

All of them. In town it's mostly wood and vinyl privacy fence, ornamental steel, and chain link for homes and businesses. Out toward the county roads we build woven wire, barbed wire, and pasture fence. We also install commercial and security fence for shops and lots around Newton.

Absolutely. We build chain link, ornamental, and screened commercial fence for Newton businesses, warehouses, and lots — including the kind of taller, gated security fence that protects equipment and inventory near the US-50 and I-135 corridors.

We set posts well below the Kansas frost line, with corners, gates, and braces anchored in concrete. Newton's clay-loam soil bakes hard and swells with moisture, so shallow posts heave and lean — setting deep and bracing heavy against Harvey County wind keeps your fence straight for the long haul.

It depends on the type and footage — barbed wire and woven wire run a few dollars a foot, while wood, vinyl, and ornamental cost more. Our free Fence Cost Guide lays out real Central Kansas ranges, and we'll give you a firm, free quote on your exact Newton project.
