A Name Yoder Already Knows
Yoder is the kind of place where a fence still earns its keep. Tucked into the Reno County farm country southeast of Hutchinson along K-96, this small Amish community runs on horses, livestock, and well-worked ground — and the fencing has to hold up to all three. River Creek Fence works Yoder regularly from our shop just up the road in Haven, building the woven wire, barbed wire, horse rail, and pasture fence that keeps stock where it belongs and gates that swing true for years.
Owner Cody Yoder grew up around farm ground and livestock, so a job out here speaks our language: cattle that lean on a corner, horses that need a safe smooth-wire or rail fence, and gardens and homesteads that want a clean, tidy line. We share the Yoder name with the town, and we treat every project here like it's going up on a neighbor's place — set right, braced right, and built to outlast the weather.
Whether you farm a quarter section off the highway, keep a few horses behind the house, or just want a privacy or yard fence around a home in the village, we'll come out, walk the line with you, and give you a straight, free estimate. No pressure, no runaround — just a fair price on a fence that lasts.
Farm, Horse & Home Fence for Yoder
From livestock perimeter to a tidy fence around the house, here's what we install most around Yoder and the surrounding Reno County farms.
Farm Fence Installation
Perimeter and cross-fence for the working farms and quarter sections around Yoder — woven wire, barbed wire, and gates built to keep stock in.
Woven Wire Fencing
Tight, no-gap woven wire for cattle, sheep, and goats — the workhorse fence on most Reno County livestock ground.
Horse Fencing
Safe four-rail and no-climb horse fence that won't catch a leg — a must with so many horses worked and driven around Yoder.
Cattle & Pasture Fencing
Heavy perimeter and pasture fence that takes the pressure when cattle lean, rub, and crowd a corner.
Barbed Wire Fencing
Economical, durable barbed wire for big runs of grazing ground — stretched tight and braced to last.
Residential & Privacy Fencing
Clean wood, vinyl, or privacy fence for homes in the village and on the acreages around Yoder.
The Fences Yoder Farms & Homes Rely On
Yoder sits in some of the best farm and grazing ground in Reno County, and that shapes what we build here. Most of our Yoder work is agricultural — woven wire and barbed wire perimeter for cattle, no-climb and four-rail fence for horses, and continuous or pipe corrals where stock crowds hardest. With horse-and-buggy traffic on the local roads and livestock close to the road, safe, visible fencing matters, and we build with that in mind.
We know the area, too — from Carriage Crossing and the shops in town to Yoder Heritage Day each August, this is a tight-knit community that values work done right the first time. Our crews set posts well below the Kansas frost line in the clay-loam soil, brace corners to stand up to open-prairie wind, and clean up when we leave. Haven is a short drive east, so getting a crew and materials to a Yoder job is never a problem.

We called for an estimate and had a pipe fence in 2 weeks! Cody and his team work HARD and efficient together. From start to finish they were respectful of our property and truly demonstrated good workmanship. We highly recommend them!

They installed my horse pasture fence and I could not be happier. They listened to my request, offered great advice to improve my design, and knocked down a number of small trees that were a fire threat to make a wonderful pasture. I would absolutely recommend them.

Cody did work on a neighbor's property and it looked great, so I had him come out to discuss replacing rusted-out panels of wrought iron. The quote was more than fair, so we scheduled the replacement. From start to finish it took less than 4 hours and it looks great. Yard and dog are now secure again. Highly recommend.

I am so impressed with River Creek Fence. Cody came out and did a quote — very friendly. He discussed what I wanted and asked questions. It took awhile to get scheduled but it was well worth it. The fence was replaced (cleanup included) in like 4 hrs! The new fence is gorgeous! Highly recommend!!! Photos don't do it justice.

Yoder Fencing Questions, Answered
Yes — Yoder is right in our backyard. We're based in Haven, about 10 miles east, and work Yoder and the surrounding Reno County farm country all the time. Call Cody at (620) 899-5595 and we'll come out for a free, no-pressure estimate.
Out here it's mostly agricultural — woven wire and barbed wire for cattle and grazing ground, safe horse fence like four-rail and no-climb, and pasture cross-fencing. We also build plenty of residential wood, vinyl, and privacy fence for homes in the village and on the acreages nearby.
Absolutely. With so many horses kept and driven around Yoder, we build fence that's safe and visible — four-rail wood, no-climb woven wire with small openings that won't catch a hoof, and smooth-wire options. We'll match the fence to your horses and your ground.
We set posts well below the Kansas frost line — corners, gates, and braces in concrete — so they don't heave when our clay-loam soil bakes hard then soaks. We also brace corners heavy to stand up to the open-prairie wind that comes across this part of Reno County.
It depends on the type and footage — barbed wire and woven wire run a few dollars a foot, while wood, vinyl, and ornamental cost more. Our free Fence Cost Guide breaks down real Central Kansas ranges, and we'll give you a firm, free quote on your exact project.
