Driveway Gate Installation in Central Kansas
Custom swing and slide driveway gates installed across Haven, Hutchinson, and Reno County — manual or fully automated, built for curb appeal and lasting security. Free estimates and a 5-year warranty.
A First Impression That Works as Hard as It Looks
Your driveway gate is the first thing guests see and the last line between the road and your home. River Creek Fence designs and installs entrance gates that pull all of that together — a clean, finished look at the road, a real barrier against unwanted traffic, and the kind of build quality that still swings true years down the line. From a single estate gate off a county blacktop near Haven to an automated entrance for an acreage outside Hutchinson, we tailor the design to your driveway and the way you live behind it.
We handle the full range, from classic ornamental swing gates to wide cantilever slide gates that clear the drive without an arc swinging into traffic. Owner Cody Yoder spent years working ground and machinery, so he knows how a gate actually gets used day to day — backing a trailer through, hauling in deliveries, opening it in a January wind. That practical eye shows up in the details that matter: hinge placement, post spacing, and openers sized to the gate they're carrying.
Every entrance we build starts with a walk of the site. We look at the grade of your drive, how wide a vehicle needs to clear, where power can run for an opener, and how the gate should frame the property as you come up the lane. Then we give you an honest, written quote — no upsell, no pressure, just the right gate for your entrance.

Driveway Gates Built Around Your Property
From simple manual entrances to fully automated estate gates, we match the gate to your home and how you use the drive.
Swing Gates
Single or double-leaf gates that open inward for a classic, upscale entrance with plenty of clearance.
Slide & Cantilever Gates
Roll-back gates that need no swing room — ideal for short drives, slopes, or entrances close to the road.
Automated Openers
Electric operators sized to your gate so it opens smoothly from a remote, keypad, or phone.
Keypad & Remote Access
Coded keypads, transmitters, and intercoms that let you control who comes up the drive.
Ornamental Designs
Powder-coated steel and aluminum panels in styles that complement the look of your home.
Privacy Infills
Solid panels and matched fencing that screen the entrance and keep the property to yourself.
Swing, Slide, and Everything In Between
The right gate depends on your drive. Swing gates suit entrances with room to open inward and give you that traditional estate look, while slide and cantilever gates are the answer when a drive is short, sits on a slope, or runs close to the road. We help you weigh the trade-offs — swing radius, available clearance, drainage, and how a plow or trailer needs to move through — and steer you to the design that fits instead of forcing a style that doesn't.
Automation turns a gate into an everyday convenience. We run power, set the opener, and program keypads, remotes, and safety photo-eyes so the gate stops if anything is in its path. Whether you want a gate that closes behind every car automatically or one you trigger from the truck on your way up the lane, we build the setup around how you actually come and go.

Driveway Gate Installation FAQ
It comes down to your drive. Swing gates need room to open without hitting a vehicle, a slope, or the road, and they give you that traditional estate look. Slide and cantilever gates roll to the side, so they're the better pick for short drives, entrances on a grade, or gates that sit close to a county road. We'll look at your entrance during the free estimate and tell you which one actually fits.
Often, yes. If your current gate and posts are sound, we can add an electric opener, keypad, remotes, and safety sensors to it. We'll inspect the gate's weight, hinges, and post footings first, since automation puts more stress on the hardware. If the posts aren't set deep enough to carry a powered gate, we'll let you know up front rather than risk a sagging entrance later.
Every automated gate we install includes a manual release so you're never locked in or out during a Kansas storm. Many of our setups also support a battery backup that keeps the gate working through short outages, and we can add solar charging for entrances far from a power source. We'll walk you through how to release and reset the gate before we leave.
Most single-vehicle drives work well at 12 to 14 feet of clear opening, but if you pull a stock trailer, a camper, or a grain truck through, we usually recommend 16 feet or more so you're not threading the needle every time. We measure the drive and ask how you use it before settling on a width — getting this right is one of the most common things people wish they'd done at install.
Yes. We're based in Haven but install entrance and driveway gates throughout Reno County, including Hutchinson, and out toward Wichita and the surrounding Central Kansas acreages. If you're not sure whether you're in our area, give us a call and we'll let you know.
