Ranch Fence Installation in Central Kansas
Heavy-duty ranch fence installation across Reno County and Central Kansas — pipe fence, continuous panel, and rail built to hold cattle and horses for decades. Free estimates and a 5-year warranty.
Ranch Fencing That Holds the Line for Decades
A ranch fence earns its keep every single day. It turns back a bull leaning into it, takes the abuse of horses scratching and crowding, and stands through ice storms and August heat without giving an inch. River Creek Fence builds exactly that kind of line for spreads around Haven, Hutchinson, and across Central Kansas — pipe, continuous panel, and rail set heavy enough to outlast the equipment that maintains it.
Cody Yoder didn't learn ranch fencing from a sales manual. He grew up doing the work — stretching wire, welding pipe, and patching the spots where a cheap fence finally let go. That background shows up in how we lay out a perimeter, where we drop a brace, and how we plan gates so you can actually move stock and machinery through them without a fight.
We handle big acreage the way it ought to be handled: straight runs across rough Reno County ground, corners braced to take a hard pull, and posts set so the freeze-thaw never works them loose. You get a fence that does its job quietly for twenty years instead of one you're chasing repairs on every spring.

Welded steel pipe that takes a beating from cattle and never rots — the gold standard for high-traffic and high-value areas.
Continuous Fence
Pre-welded steel panels that go up fast and create a clean, strong line ideal for pens, traps, and perimeters.
Rail Fence
Pipe-and-rail or board fencing that contains horses safely and gives your headquarters a sharp, finished look.
Cattle Containment
Strong wire, pipe, and panel built to the height and spacing that holds cattle where you put them.
Horse Fencing
Smooth, hazard-free fencing that protects horses from injury while standing up to crowding and cribbing.
Ranch Entry Gates
Heavy gates and entrances sized for trucks, trailers, and equipment — and built to make a strong first impression.
Fencing Made for Working Ground
Containment fence has a hard life out here. Stock test it, the wind never quits, and the soil swings from concrete-hard in a dry July to soft and saturated after a wet spring. We build around all of that — sinking posts well below the frost line, anchoring corners and gate ends so they can absorb a steady pull, and welding pipe joints that won't crack or work loose when a herd crowds the fence at feeding time.
Whether you're closing off a new grazing cell on a half-section outside Haven or replacing a tired wire line that's cost you one too many calls about loose cattle on the road, we install it to hold. The goal is simple: a fence you can ride past and forget about.

Ranch Fence Installation FAQ
It varies with the fence type and how many miles you're running. Welded pipe fence is the most expensive per foot but lasts the longest, continuous panel falls in the middle, and wire-based cattle fence is the most economical for long perimeters. The only way to get a real figure is a free on-site walk — we'll measure your line, talk through the right build for your stock, and put a written price in your hand.
Both hold cattle well, so it comes down to budget and use. Continuous panel goes up faster and costs less, which makes it great for perimeters, traps, and pens. Welded pipe is heavier and pricier but is hard to beat around high-pressure spots like working areas, water, and feed bunks where animals crowd hardest. On most ranches we mix the two to put the money where the abuse is.
Absolutely — large-acreage perimeters are a big part of what we do. We've got the equipment and crew to clear lines, set posts, and stretch straight runs across rough, rolling Central Kansas ground, whether it's a quarter or a full section. Bigger jobs just take a little more planning, and we'll lay out a realistic timeline with your estimate.
Deep enough to beat the Kansas frost line and stand up to both wind and livestock pressure — generally three feet or more for line posts and deeper still for corners and gate ends, set in concrete. On a ranch fence the corners and braces do the real work, so we over-build those to take a hard, steady pull without ever shifting.
Both. Horse fencing is its own animal — it needs smooth, injury-free surfaces and the right height so a horse can't get a leg over or through it. We install pipe-and-rail and board fencing that's safe for horses and tough enough to handle crowding and cribbing, and we'll match the design to your barn and headquarters.
